SpeechRise SLS Lab is an independent research, education, and service initiative focused on speech-language pathology and communication sciences.

We advance understanding of speech, language, cognition, hearing, and communication across diverse populations. Through research, education, collaboration, and community engagement, we work to connect scientific knowledge with meaningful improvements in clinical practice and everyday communication participation.

Our work centers on bilingualism, speech perception and production, neurogenic communication disorders, cognitive-communication, motor speech, cultural responsiveness, and equitable access to communication support.

SpeechRise SLS Lab welcomes collaboration with researchers, clinicians, educators, students, community organizations, and individuals with lived experience.
